  • Administrative Assistant/Marketing Manager

    The ideal candidate for this role will provide administrative support to the Mendota Museum and Historical Society. They will oversee the day to day management of office function, take the lead on the creation of our quarterly newsletter, act as board liaison, and help formulate and implement the Society’s social media strategy and other marketing efforts.

    Duties include:

     

    · Managing office supply inventory

    · Taking minutes at quarterly board meetings

    · Managing the membership program

    · Putting together the quarterly newsletter

    · Tracking attendance at all three museums and museum programs

    · Scheduling docents at the Hume-Carnegie Museum

    · Helping to develop a social media calendar

    · Helping to create posts for social media

    · Coordinating Society marketing efforts

    · Other duties as assigned

     

    Qualifications:

     

    · Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

    · Knowledge of Canva

    · Experience with creating social media content

    · Outstanding organizational skills

    · Experience working with internal and internal stakeholders

     

     

    Compensation:

     

    10 hours/week @ $15.00/hr
